Kindle Fire is on Fire!
The Amazon Kindle Fire is literally on fire. It hasn’t even gone on sale yet (Nov. 15) and it is flying off the shelves. It sold 49,000 units on the first day of presales! What happens is that you can go to Amazon (use links) and and preorder your Kindle Fire for delivery shortly after Nov. 15th. But the demand is high and rumor has it that Amazon is running over capacity for orders. So getting one before Xmas is going to be dicey unless you order now.
The Kindle fire is the iPad killer of all time. It actually may be the Apple killer. It’s kind of a killer app. It’s smaller, faster, lighter, better, has unlimited storage. It’s $300 cheaper, and you almost have to suspend disbelief to say that an iPad 2 is worth the $499 they want you to spend. I think the anti Apple sentiment will reach a peak when fan boys that spent $500 for their toy start seeing people running around with a Kindle Fire that is better in every way. I mean how much of an Apple apologista do you have to be to say, well I don’t care that your Fire is $300 cheaper and better than my iPad 2, I want an Apple.
If iPad sales don’t take a big hit because of the Kindle Fire, I am seriously going to start doubting humanity. Apple fan boys have traditionally had products that had better functionality for 25-30% more. Well great, you paid a premium and got a premium product. But a 250% premium for an inferior product? WTF? Is that even conceivable that people would buy an iPad? I sure hope not. But I am sure they will sell a ton of them. Apple fan boys never cease to amaze me.
The Kindle Fire should advertise a BOGO (buy one get one deal). In reality it’s a BOGO and we’ll give you a hundy back in change. Think about that. Two Kindle Fire’s and a one hundred dollar bill in your hand for the $499 price of an iPad. Good Lord.
